| The votes are not there for gun control
Relax, the 2nd Amendment isn't going anywhere. Despite the huffing and puffing, the strutting and strumming, the histrionics and hyperventilating, federal gun control legislation has as much chance as I have using a bolt action shotgun in knocking down a pheasant in flight. Ain't happenin', no way, no how. A cock gets to strut another day.
It's really simple -- the votes aren't there. Harry Reid knows it. John Boehner knows it, despite his frequent amnesia about where he tucked away his supply of first principles ointment.
Even the New York Times knows it, showing the NRA ratings of all U.S. Congressmen and Senators. 56% of the House are Grade A solidly pro-gun. And the Senate is just one vote short of the 60 supermajority for those graded A (46) and grade B (13).
The American people know it, as Rasmussen reports "65% See Gun Rights As Protection Against Tyranny".

65% isnt enough, maybe for congress now but it should be much closer to 90%. When i talk to liberals about gun control they say the same exact thing. Guess we'll find out.

It's worse for them than you think....
to use this is our single issue, the thing we like to fight for.
to them this is just something else along the way. they have to drop it , and they will.
Pehaps a litmus test will be the press coverage on feinstiens bill.
why was it delayed anyway? (i know the stated reason) will it receive coverage? my guess is no.

One good thing came out of the panic. A fellow traded in a brand new Wilson Combat Stealth to purchase a black gun, and I purchased it for about half price!

Yes the first push wont doing anything but if that rock is battered enough by the wave, it will eventually give and wear away in time. The Libs realize this. I saw it happen to gay marriage in Maine. Time and time again it got voted down and then it eventually passed.

The a$$ wipes will wrap it up in an appropriation bill and pass it with a 50 +1 vote "al la odumbo care".... Don't even think of backing off on the pressure to the congress critters. And continue to work on your State legislatures for Nullification legislation.

I have noticed that I have kinda unknowingly developed a signature line on my correspondence to my legislators.
I have been ending everything with: You took an oath.
