Dear Mr. Security Agent

Excellent article on the ramifications of a national gun ban by Matthew Bracken who wrote "Enemies Foreign and Domestic"

http://westernrifleshooters.wordpress.com/2013/01/07/bracken-dear-mr-security-agent/

Excerpt:

Federal, state, or local. You, the man or woman with the badge, the sworn LEO or FLEA and those who inhabit the many law enforcement niches in between and on all sides. This essay is directed to you, because in the end, how this turmoil about gun control turns out will depend largely upon your decisions and actions over the coming months and years.

Thx for posting this!

Bracken has name recognition with a number of folks I know who are avid readers yet are not avid 'shooting sportsmen/women'.

I took the opportunity to route the link to a number of folks- fence sitters and others.

The disarmament movement continues marshaling forces to ramrod changes to our rights.

We have seen this play out before in other countries and times, and it is deadly serious. Once the scapegoating gets far enough under way, it can pick up a life and a momentum of its own. For example, if the economy ever truly crashes, and the EBT system that feeds fifty million Americans goes down hard, leading to hunger, looting, and riots, (or we suffer other unforeseen problems of similar crisis proportions), the scapegoats will always be dragged to the forefront as the pre-designated patsy, to deflect blame from the government.

“It’s the traitorous Armenians! It’s the greedy Kulaks! It’s the filthy Jews! It’s the oppressive Rwandan Hutus! It’s the white-racist ! Let’s go get them, and make them pay!”
For those who think it can not happen here ask the Japanese about WWII internment camps. Or look up the Trail of Tears. Bonus Army. We have a proud history but we do have our pimples.

Greetings,

I was happy to read the commentary by M Bracken. I'd just been wondering, why haven't the socio-political-pro-gun writers been making any noise lately? Specifically; Bracken, John Ross and Ken Royce ("Boston T"). I've gone to all their web sites, but have seen no recent updates. Hope to hear something from the other two sooner rather than later.

Regards, Jim

I Have lots of LEO friends. Not sure many of them will recognize the "orders" for what they are when they come out.

What happens when an LEO find a warrant for arrest on a traffic sweep? The warrant seems like every other one they have served. BUT what they won't be able to know is that the warrant is as legit as obuma's birth certificate..............

So if the roundup is covert how will LEO's have the opportunity to make these decisions.??

The left is a bunch of idiots, but far from obvious of their agenda. They speak in double tongue. How will the street cop be able to tell the difference between a fabricated warrant and a legit one?

And don't respond with "Just let them arrest you and trust our due process" cause if THAT is your frame of thought don't even want to talk to you.....

Even if they can tell the difference, refusal to institute the search could be used as cause to suspend or terminate the disobedient. How many will go along to get along?

later, dozer

I have known Matt Bracken casually over the web, as an author he has written novels that have nearly predicted how America is evolving, plus he has started a new fictional series of a white knight similar to Travis McGee of the historic John D McDonald series.

Enemies, Foreign and Domestic, get it if you have not done so, and the two following novels, available from Amazon and Kindle.

Happy and safe seas Matt!

Very good read, thanks for posting 7th. I emailed it around. Hopefully it will get some LEOs thinking and prepared.

I really wish I could say this article was BS. But everything I just read is not only plausible but has already started. I guess it's about time the "Overmountain Men" gather again.

Amazing read. Very well written and articulated. Unfortunately, somewhat scary how close we are to other's demise!
I'm passing this one around for sure!

The problem I have wrapping my mind around the focus of this essay, it's law enforcement's job to enforce the laws, not interpret them. Interpretation is the work for lawyers, judges, and the courts. Like it or not, it's the reality. How many folks from the law enforcement community would turn in their badges because they thought illegal gun raids were/are unconstitutional? I don't know. I hope the percentage would be high...I'm not that optimistic though...

I hope this essay circulates the LE email boxes everywhere and makes a difference.

I've been a fan of Bracken for many years he hit the nail on the head. The feds have been building an army of 'Brown-Shirts" since 9/11. It seems these days in every town with 10 or more people they have a DHS sponsored SWAT or HRT team. Just look at the thread of the Jackwagon who lost his CCW for saying he would take the first shot... I have no dog in the hunt with this guys, self inflicted shot in the foot, but I do have issue with the fact it was the "Tennessee Safety and Homeland Security" that made the bust.

When it became apparent that the U.S. Soldier could not be counted on, and in fact would probably be siding with the American people. Their marginalization began at the hands of DHS... Everybody remembers Janet Napolitano domestic terrorist watch list... and the propaganda/slander campaign continues as they condition us to line up for body cavity searches and say "thank you sir may I have another"
