| NICS- our faithful goverment at work for us
Im about to start shooting blood out of my eyes. There is absolutely NO reason why i should have a delay. Im a pretty resonable guy, but big brother is going to send me into a seizure. http://www.ammoland.com/2011/05/27/n...theyre-flawed/

That's BS man. I hope they get their mistake corrected ASAP as well.
Oddly enough I was actually talking to my FFL last week, and this same subject came up. He says that it happens every once in a while, but he was saying that they're pretty good about getting it straightened out. In Oregon, we have to go through the State Police to get to NICS background checks run, so if there's an issue with our background check, we have to work it out with/through OSP. My FFL was saying that more often than not, if the check comes back "delayed" it's an error on the NICS side, and OSP has been pretty good about getting things cleared up within a few days.
On the bright side bud, at least it's "Delayed" instead of "Denied".
Still crap that it happens in the first place. Out of curiosity, do you write your SSN on your 4473's?

Ham, theres about 10 people in this country with my last name. Im a "good greek'a boy" as my great grandmother would have said, lol.
Its just a bunch of crap at any rate. Look at record, no bad things on record? yes, you may buy your gun sir. I hope they rectify their mistake TODAY.
Mindfield, no ive bought many guns since ive been back. I did do a criminal records check on myself for a police background packet ( i did get a couple of misdeanors as a dumb kid about 10 years ago, NEVER been a problem) so maybe thats it.
Yeah, i write my ssn on my 4473's.
**Oh yeah, i just reenlisted in the army for 6 years too. dunno how that might effect things.

They continue to add offences to the NICS list that will get law abiding citizens denied...
Pretty soon Jesus is going to a DENIED if he tries to buy a pea shooter.
Frog in the boiling pot... Death by a thousand cuts.... call it what you want, that's their plan.

Best reason to have one. Your purchase is still recorded on the 4473 but the NICS center isn't notified.

What a bunch of B.S. Go smash a punching bag for a while or something, if you have one. Or just keep taking deep breaths. Good luck man.
