I was reading another forum. a local one. Apparently the New York Daily News reported that he intended to bring Hr822 issues to light and a need for its passage. I am only reporting what i read in another forum. I quickly searced NY Daily News sight and havent found it yet.
There are also FOPA issues im sure will be argued

As a guy who travels the country with all manner, and copious number, of weapons, I have even shot regularly while living in NYC in the 80's. I can appreciate trying to make it easier to move about from State to State. However a one size fits all law, enforced by our national overlords just makes me nervous.

We have too many laws on the books already... any government big enough to give you everything you want... is big enough to take it all away.

I was in the army in 1980 returning from Germany ,and passed through New York, changing flights. Had two pistols in my luggage with the appropriate military orders. Got flagged while passing through customs. Was told I could not touch the suitcases myself, as I would be in violation of New York City firearm laws after passing through customs. Had to have a porter carry the suitcases to my next flight baggage check-in.

I understand all the member comments above...however, my view is that THIS specific scenario(whether Deliberately set up or not)appears to be a nice, clean one, not muddied by 'the guy' having Other Criminal Issues...
And, This Guy has the Money, and the Backing, and I'm guessing...The Intent! ...To Make This The NEXT Big Second Amendment TEST Case!
