| USA Today Poll!
TAKES 10 SECONDS .... Vote
I guess USA Today was not happy with the poll results the first time so USA today is running another one....vote now
Attorney General, Eric Holder, has already said this is one of his major issues. He does not believe the 2nd Amendment gives individuals the right to bear arms. This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners, with the Supreme Court's accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms. http://www.usatoday.com/news/quickqu.../popup5895.htm
What I really noticed was that 97% of the voters got it right.

"Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?"
Very poorly worded poll question. Rights don't come from documents, amendments, laws, etc.
Should read: "Does the Second Amendment GUARANTEE individuals the right to bear arms? That being said, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that is what they meant to say on the poll question and that is what the responders meant to endorse.

Agreed. Self-defense is a natural right = Natural Law
2nd Amendment simply acknowledges this within the construct of limiting FedGovs authority (Not that the Bill of Rights constrains the FedGov in any meaningful way)

Hasn't this poll been running for nearly 10 years now? Seems like once a year, someone "finds" it and passes it around.
Heck, well over a 100,000 of these votes have to be mine, as often as I see this pass through my email.
Even if 100% vote yes, USAToday (and other libertards) will spin it to look like the vast majority agree with them.
Oh well.

Running since 2007, not quite 10 years, but long enough to ignore the message.

Too many people see 'rights' as being granted by a government. The idea that rights already exist and are simply acknowledged by the Constitution, involves too many steps of logic.

Lil'guns,
I'll go one step further, it was unnecessary from the beginning, we don't care what they think, . . . WE HAVE THE GUNS! |
