Must see M60 video...

I have not seen this before, so if it has been around, forgive me.

This weapon was the favorite of my Army experience. I can't believe how it performs here and how drunk these people must be to do this. 1500 straight tracers, and a cookoff they weren't expecting!?
Turn your sound up at the end of firing to hear all the comments and laughter!

Did you notice that the barrel was sagging at the end. These idiots are lucky that the weapon did not suffer a catastrophic disassembley.

I remember seeing this video a while back and i believe the video creator said that the barrel was basically shot out and they were just finishing the job. Looks a little dangerous and I would be worried about the rounds cooking off. wouldn't finishing off a barrel like that have an overall negative effect to the gun itself?

Looks like a fun way to ruin a very nice gun.

Woulda been glad to do it with someone elses M60, but If it was mine I would lover her too much.

The M60E4 is supposed to be designed for longer strings of firing, due to improved metallurgy in the barrel, and beefed up parts in the feed system. The original M60 from the Vietnam era needed a barrel change after a hundred rounds or so fired full auto, while the E4 is supposed to go about 15,000 rounds before needing a barrel change.

These guys are serious manufacturers of stuff.
A pretty legitimate material test IMO.

I'd rather these "morons" get a failure here than to pass the potential onto somebody using it in real life.

The M60 fires from an open bolt, so the only way for it to 'cook off' is for the round to not fire from the firing pin strike.

Ruining a barrel and at 50 cents a round, that is plain stupid. It's obvious those idiots have much more money than brains!

I know this is an older thread but still. DeGroat tactical does gun shoots on things that normal civilians cannot get a hold of. They do shoots of the M134 Minigun with 1000 rounds of tracer and they video it. Those of you who have fired the M134 or variants know that 1000 rounds is gone in a few seconds.
