| GF new camera = new BAR pics
Well time to do the BAR some justice. Bought the girl a nice Nikkon for Christmas, time to play.
Custom engraved Top Cover
Enjoy the rest, its hard to put into words the beauty and craftsmanship. Im amazed that back in the early 2000th century that these weapons along with Garands, 03s, and Thompsons were mass produced. A lost art. Just look at that wood.

If only there was one more option on the selector

The BAR shoots sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. I finally got her zeroed in last week. The rifle is shooting about 2" MOA at 100yds. She shoots about 6-9" low, so I called AL at OOW, and he is sending me different height front site bases to correct. Great company, fantastic weapon.
Here are two more pics, with her battle budy.
And pic of Girl Friend...ok not her but she knows how to shoot, which she still might do if she knew I called my car my GF

Ummmm not tracking??? The wood is conciderably darker than when I first received the BAR. I have been using Formby's Traditional Tung Oil Finish Low Gloss on all of my weapons, to include my CMP SA Spescial. The M1 soaked up the Formboys like a sponge, the BAR was a little more reistant, taking a long time to not be tacky anymore.
Ill apply another coat after this weeks outing. Going to try different height bases to raise the POI.
If anyone is in the South SC area, drop me a PM, you are welcome to try her out. Bring your M2 or commercial if you like but not needed, a donation six pack might be nice :). But times are rough for some so nothing is NEEDED if you cant |

Dude, That's awesome! I would love to own a BAR!
Can you buy them in semi-auto version? I thought someone was making them.

My Dad also has one. They are made by Ohio Ordnance Works, and are semi auto only. Very good company to deal with. I asked them about sending me some replacement parts after I broke the gas adjusting valve and they sent them free of charge. I love that rifle. It draws alot of attention at the range. Feeding that beast is very expensive but VERY fun.

Well no more shooting for next three months, about to pick up our next batch of recruits this coming Sat.
And a plug for OOW, great bunch of guys, my BAR was shooting about 6" low at 100yds, so Al from OOW sent me different height front sites next day to tfix the issue.
