Colt Monitor and R75 30rd mags?

I know this may seem like a long shot but does anyone know when they stoped making the 30rd Monitor,BAR,R75 mag or has anyone seen them ever?

I don't think 30 & 40 rd BAR mags ever made it past the experimental stages. Just a very few were made for testing. Track down Jim Ballou on this question. If anybody has examples of these mags, it would be Jim Ballou, Kent Lomont, or Bob Landies. They collected all the rare BAR items years ago. If you get a picture, post it for all of us to see.
Frank Hammer's Colt Monitor of Bonnie & Clyde fame is on display at the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco.

Wow, never heard of a prototype 40rd mag before! I bet that sucker is huge!

some 40's were used in early vietnam for camp defense

Yes sir, Mr Landies would be the guy for you. Call up OOW. From what I understand the 30 and 40 round magazine were not accepted due to them being longer than the extened bi-pod, plus holly cow can you imagine the weight of 40 rounds of 30-06!
