There was an issue with rivets coming loose and units were WIR'g them like crazy but they Albany came back and said as long as it wasn't more than 4 rivets in a row OR the plates moved then it was still safe to fire.
M240s don't break....they are like an energizer bunny......
Here are a few shots...had 2 M240s and only 3 barrels and they both shot all that ammo...something like 12k rounds IIRC without missing a beat. I was having to cool the one barrel gun with water but it kept on chuggin..

My gun truck and about 8k rounds of 50cal....no issues until we got to the bottom of a can of SLAP that had gotten water into it. Brass seized up in the chamber and ripped the rim off...swapped barrels and kept going as well.. BTW the French made 50cal had dead primers...all 70-80s stuff. Most of the US stuff we were shooting was WW2 dated ball and AP and one can of incendiary and one of tracer..mucho fun....
