Did it seem like that M2 was shooting a bit fast, sounded it had some M3 internals, I think they should spend money building new M2HB's and not trying to reinvent it, look what happened to the M85.

It remains to be seen if this weapon truly replaces the M2. From what I've heard there are issues in the sandbox with adequate training on the weapon which is causing a lot of accidents. Another poster above alluded to this plus lack of support. Really, it doesn't take a great deal of effort to learn the gun.

I own an M2 and have been shooting them for the better part of 30 years. My current gun is a High Standard made in 1943 and registered as a dewat during the amnesty. It runs like a scalded dog. HOWEVER. After EVERY outing with it (usually not less that 1K rounds) I break it down, clean it and do PM.
Most of the problems I have seen, at least in civilian-owned guns, was either operator error or ammo related.

I thought we settled the issue of the superiority of the .50 over a samurai sword sometime in the 1940s....

Good points. A lack of training in the sandbox is just laziness. It's not like there isn't time and weapons available.
