SKS Lands and Grooves

I am trying to identify the most likely SKS that has 12 lands and grooves. I am thinking the Russian or Yugo is the most likely.

Thanks!

I have owned both a Russian and a Yugo SKS and they both had four groove barrels. I have never seen any centerfire rifle with a 12 groove barrel.

Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe these rounds are not from an SKS....

It seems to be a .30 cal/7.62. I need to weigh and measure it. I don't have any tools at my office.

I just remembered Marlin has their ''micro groove'' barrels on their 30-30 lever action rifles. These might be a 12 groove.

Thanks from jmoore

That was my first thought. 150gr bullet that shed some weight?
A Christmas day randomly fired projectile? Ugh. Was stilling in the middle of several hours of that whilst in the TN hills.

Don't know if this helps or not, but here's a picture of a Chinese SKS bore:

It's not the greatest picture, but you can definitely see the 4 lands on it around the edges (despite the dust on the end of the barrel).
