Vz58 - Plastic Parts?

Am getting real close to caving and ordering a Vz58 from Czechpoint, but a little more research online reveals plastic triggers, and possibly other plastic internals? I almost ordered yesterday, but figured I'd get a little more info on the durability of these parts. Steel triggers (I assume) are around, and could be swapped - but if they're surplus, you're messing with compliance. Any other internal plastic guts that might be of concern? I'm just kind of opposed to plastic parts that really shouldn't be plastic. Any Vz owners experience any problems from these parts?

No dramas from the ones I've had(have). Not really noticeable. Nice little carbines.

There was a guy either on the AK Files or the AK Forum who had some US-made steel triggers that were really nice replacements, if the plastic one gives you any trouble. I'd have to dig up his name and contact info, but I remember buying one of them back when I built mine and I was happy with it.

i have a cz-usa vz58 which i purchased back in 08, with the plastic trigger. never had a problem with it, as a matter of fact does not bother me a bit anymore. but if you really need a steel trigger, czechpoint has the steel triggers for $15. better give them a call and see if they offer installing the steel trigger when you purchase the vz from them

I don't think they will, as that is one of the 922r compliance parts. My only concern is cold weather durability, but looking around I don't see any internet reports of failures at all. I might pick on up as a spare, just in case. I think I'll get one of these rifles and some ammo coming. I've had a terrible craving for one of these for a few years, and it's time to put an end to it.

Thanks for the replies.
