| First DSA
Picked up my first DSA from my FFL earlier today.
DSA upper, NOS Isreali heavy barrel, custom G1 (I think)flash suppressor, South African lower and modified Argentine hand guards. The guts are Inch pattern bolt with the two piece firing pin and a non-sand cut bolt carrier.
I hope to take her out for a dance Saturday.

Back about ten years ago I built two IMBEL parts kits onto two IMBEL gear logo receivers and they turned out really nice. One I did up with OD green furniture and the other I did in satin black. I still have 3+ IMBEL parts kits out in the shop on the shelf, but I really messed up when I did buy more of the IMBEL recievers when they were still $199.00 from TAPCO.

Nice. I've always been interested in that platform. I would be interested to see a nice range report. |

Congratulations on your buy! I always had a crush on the FAL style rifles. Wouldn't mind DSA's SA58 carbine. Paras look pretty cool, but I'm not sure if that would be the way I went. Let us know how she shoots for you!

SHE SHOOTS!!!!!!!!
I took her out this afternoon when I went to zero my Entreprise FAL carbine and just wanted to get the feel for her before I get her zeroed.
Well in the FAL tradition, the trigger is AWFUL, worst one on an FAL I've ever shot. Long first stage then MUSH before she goes BANG
Recoil is lovely and she's about 8 inches high at the hundred yard line right now. That will be fixed the first chance I get though.
This ones a keeper, anybody a good place to an FAL trigger worked on?

can't really tell by the pictures but the rear sight looks like an israeli or argentine which are tall. if so , replace it with an stg sight and your groups will drop considerably.

@ speerchucker
the rear sight is an English one, its tall because the front sight is high like an inch pattern (L1A1), the apeture is huge no doubt, but until I find an Isreali rear sight I have to stick with it.
