They are cool for sure. If I were to own one I wouldn't hesitate going the DSA route for their reputation. But from everything I've heard about these guns they are a 2-3 MOA gun at best. I could be wrong, I don't own one. I think they are really neat and I like their history and considered buying one. In my research to prepare for purchase the accuracy findings I came up with is what kept me from pulling the trigger (so to speak). I'm pretty sure that's when I went the route of an M1A. YMMV.

I built two IMBEL parts kits onto two IMBEL gear logo receivers and they turned out beautifully. Once upon a time I had a Springfield imported IMBEL Para model that I traded off when my gun smith buddy just had to have it. He built me two custom AR's back in the early 90s for the FAL. I didn't like the Para model because it was no fun to shoot off the bench with that folding stock.

I would like to thank everyone, the rifle has become a reality for me. ( I have to figure out this picture thing, Im pic challenged). I went with the 16.25 inch, got the para extreme scope mount, and topped with a eotech. I tried it with a 3 to 9 and it ended with giving me consistent 2 inches with the fed M1A load. overall, love it, its a bit of a flame thrower when its overcast and with certain loads. Its gives a bit of a giggle.

I have three FALs, my heavy barrel is a DSA and I couldnt be happier with it. From my experience if theres an issue with the parts or workmanship with a DSA rifle, they will fix it just as SA Inc will with ont of theirs

DSA, like many other gun makers, is a relatively small outfit plagued with customer service complaints as demand is outstripping their capacity. With that said, I've bought two of their receivers and numerous other parts, including a scope mount, and everything has been top notch quality. Haven't handled any of their assembled rifles but they do have a good "word of mouth" reputation.

FALs are easy to work on so if you have a chance to get one at a good price, and really want a FAL, I'd suggest going ahead and picking it up.

Thanks from hammer 1

Just to reaffirm previous posts, they are quality builds and will last you a lifetime with proper care and maintenance. During the Clinton years I bought two custom builds for my boys, (ages 7 and newborn), for them whenever they turned 18. I wasn't sure if we would still be able to own such weapons later on with the gun laws at the time. My oldest is now 23, married and expecting his first child. His rifle is among his prized possessions in his own gun safe. My youngest still has to wait a few years...Although he travels to his brother's place to shoot the "twin" of his own rifle waiting for his coming of age.

You will not be disappointed!

I bought this DS Arms SA58 Carbine about seven years ago and it's been flawless. I'll never sell this gun.
