Just curious....how did you get that into California? I have one I'm trying to figure out how I can adapt it for California?

I've been told that the Solar button will not work on the Super VEPR's though.

Who is the importer of these?..I have seen some on G-Broker out of NJ. of all places....one of thee most gun un-friendly states.

Told me about his adventures of getting the rifles out of Russia securely. He said he had to hire folks to guard them during shipment.
AFAIK he is the only importer of the Molot Vepr's, and he is the same guy selling them on Gunbroker. He said they are selling like crazy; just glad I locked one up. A Google search of his company showed positive feedback, so I will update as soon as it arrives.
I love nearly all 54R rifles, but was not real happy with the PSL. Look forward to getting my hands on the VEPR, from what little I've heard they are built much better.

sumo nice rifle man congrats please post pics once you receive it. your right tony is an awesome guy to deal with and your right about the security he had to hire to escort his shipment he told me the same thing. talked to him yesterday and pretty much all of his super veprs are sold out, lucky i placed an order 2 months ago. can t wait, sumo by any chance do you have a contact# for kalinka optics? need to order me a scope, thanks

Sumo.....this is the Vepr that I have. I no longer have it in that stock. I'm looking for a Desert Sands color stock and I'll order one of those Solar Tactical Buttons and hope to be able to shoot it once again! Sorry about picture quality-using phone.

As I posted earlier, Tony from Rare LLC said that they had a hard time finding button to fit the Supers, so you may want to check with Solar before you order one.

Any semi auto in 7,62x54r if its a carbine gets my vote. I been waiting for the 16'' barreled saiga in 7,62x54r but i'm, losing hope so i guess an SVD carbine of the vepr is it for me next. Bill
