A few rare and interesting military knives

Imperial non-magnetic UDT knife from 1961. Has also undergone non-magnetic testing and certification in 11/72 and again in 6/83.

USMC Buck M9 bayonet from the 1993 trials. This is one of a handful of remaining 1993 trials bayonets, where the Corps was experimenting with full tang blades. This example has a full length riveted tang. More info - http://www.quarterbore.net/forums/showthread.php?t=35

Eickhorn USMC Bayonet 2000. This was the very first bayonet that was built specifically to USMC design specs, but only 50 were made and delivered within 1 month of receiving the contract. Because of this, it is also the shortest lived USMC bayonet. More info - http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/foru...-bayonet-2000/

I collect the M9 and issue M11 EDT knives, that trial USMC M9 is one sweet piece. Thanks for sharing some of your collection, I'll bet you have more, please post-up more pics when you can.

So cool! Care to share how you tracked these down? I think I may have seen the non magnetic knife at an Ohio Gun Collectors Association Show but never any of the others.

Thank you all for the complements! I've got a few more interesting knives to post when I have time to get them photographed. I hope an original 3 piece Sea Wolf is cool enough for you guys

Lots of phone calls and emails! The best way to acquire rare items is to make friends with other collectors. Hard to find items remain hard to find because they never hit the open market.

What are the thoughts behind a non-magnetic knife?

Land mine removal?

All fantastic knives/bayonets.
