They are not at all rare. The hard-to-find variety of the M6 bayonet are those made by AERIAL.

Thanks from m1sniper and Buck Stienke

Garden Valley is correct Aerial is the hard one to find, the rest are very common.

A good, real m6, dirt cheap is the rarest it seems....aerial is the most counterfeited one though.

How rare is rare?

The West German firm of Eickhorn-Solingen made M6 bayonet is perhaps the most rarest of the M6 bayonets. Springfield Armory Inc. sold a small amount of them back in the late 1980's early 1990's, along with other bayonets that Eickhorn-Solingen had made. I only have one of them. I bought a Armcorp M14 last year and it came NIW Eickhorn-Solingen made M6 bayonet and scabbard.

I have a couple of Chinese or Korean made "unmarked" ones. They seemed to be every where in the early 2000's. Cruder looking, but the still fit the rifle.

I have maybe 20 of the M6 bayonets. Some are NIB and have manufacturers markings on the boxes. I don't really collect them, but the Milpar does seem to be the most popular that I come across in the "wild". I picked up my last one (Milpar) at a one day gun show for $20. The blade was sharpened, but I had to buy it.

I never had any interests in bayonets, it just part of the M14 collection.

Bayonet marking.

Nope, just "US M6" on the guard. After the fall of the wall, they also changed from "West Germany" to plain "Germany" on the scabbards.

Thanks from RRFlynn
