Bow hunters - another use for your M14 combination tool
I have not bow hunted for years, but when I did I used the aluminum arrow shafts with the screw in heads/tips.
If/when you stick an arrow in a tree, you can remove the head without damage to the arrow shaft. Unscrew the arrow shaft - so you don't damage it. Then screw the short piece of rod that's in the combo tool onto the arrow head and give it a good yank, maybe a couple/three to pull the arrow head out of the wood.
Make sure your arrow heads have the correct threads first - at home - before you go hunting. I used the old (remember, it was years ago) Bear four bladed arrow heads for hunting and the similar weight target tips for practice.
Ooops. gotta go.
