The keychain knife is a <$2.00 ACE Hardware (probably Chinese) that gets used a bunch and is truly EVERY Day Carry (on my keychain). Had it for at least six years. The Cold Steel Recon is almost always with me but has been forgotten at times or switched out with a Cold Steel Spartan.

Likewise the 4/Seven's CR2 180 lumen light and Swiss Tool are EDC.

Yes, wifey knows the wedding band is on the key chain.

Run of the mill case mini trapper is in my pocket every day. Even went overseas with me on two Iraq tours. It was one of several I had on me there.

Buck 482 in each pocket. Another in each car and in tool bags.

Solid, cheap, simple.

For years I just carried a little Western 3-blade pocketknife, but modern folders with blade assists are just so much more convenient for one handed operation. They also fit in my pocket better. I have a small collection of fixed blades (including the ubiquitous Ka-Bar of course) but they don't see much use. The only thing I've used the Ka-Bar for lately is whittling little track guides for a folding door in my house.

My next folding knife will be non-serrated. Not a fan of those serrations.

Im somewhat surprised by guys who are carrying two or more knives on their person an a daily basis. I can see hiking, hunting type sceneries but just doing their thing around town, I don't get it.

I'm not sure how it is in your part of the world but most native Texas guys carry a knife usually being a primary folder. I'm absolutely in love w/ multitools. They have enabled me to fix all kinds of whatever's in the past that I would have otherwise been hunting for a tool box. I don't do suits and ties and I'd dare say most don't down here so knives aren't that outta place w/ boots and jeans. I'm not a huge fan of the tacticool look but there are ways to not look obnoxious and carry multiple items discretely.

I live well outside NYC and hiking, shooting, hunting, fishing are at the top of my to do nearly any chance I get. The only time I put on a suit are weddings and funerals. You can insert your own joke there.
I'm a Navy fleet sailor Vet and I learned long before they told us in boot camp from my dad to carry a knife and have been doing so for decades. In all the times I was going out to a movie, beach or dinner with the wife I never felt obligated to put knives in every pocket and also in my boot a folder is always with me. As I said out in the woods hunting or hiking I usually carry three, a SRK, CS Master Hunter and a folder in my pocket. I'm not a multi tool guy as I find them too bulky to carry all the time for the benefit they might offer on the rare occasion. I do carry tool kits in all our vehicles.
More mundane things like going grocery shopping just a small folder. I got no problem with those who do, just find it curious.

I'm not a multi tool guy...but hey, years ago I wasn't a carrier of a knife either. Now I carry a pistol and a knife errday. I bet the same would happen with a multi tool if I started to implement one in the pocket every day for random stuph. I'm running out of space on my person. Might have to get a PHANNY pack. lol (for all those who wear one...I get it).

I carry a multi-tool in addition to real tools , in the center console of my truck , and motorcycle saddlebag. Kept within easy access , they do come in handy and it beats digging out or unrolling my real tool kits.

Thanks from Thedutchman and Sgt Nambu
