2" Swiss Army knife with a file and scissors on my keychain. Don't snicker as our federal government has determined they are very deadly and the preferred weapon of terrorists. Just ask the TSA.

Currently, it's a cheap "Smith & Wesson" half-serrated folder. I say currently because the operative part of that sentence is "cheap." I use my knife constantly, and I never fret losing it. I have a couple more cheap ones in the truck and more at home.

I would be carrying a Leatherman Skeletool if I could find where I lost mine. Man I love that thing. All the tools I need, and (almost) nothing I don't. Pocket clip, (good) knife, multi tip screwdriver, pliers. That's it. No saw, nail file, toothpick, or other worthless added weight.

Right now I'm carrying a super heavy milwaukee folding razor blade knife box cutter dealio that I found somewhere and somehow haven't lost yet.

Thanks from Sgt Nambu

My usual everyday carry is a custom Marlowe. Charles Marlowe is a custom knife maker in Arizona. His knives are works of art. When I don't carry the Marlowe, I carry one of my Hinderers.

Had Johnny Strong work up a blade for me, fits inside the waist although it could be switched to the outside. I asked, and the man delivered. Hattori Hanzo would have been proud.

American Made, Spring Assist

I switch between a Benchmade Barrage 580 and a Kershaw Shallot for EDC.

Both are American Made, both are spring assisted. I prefer the lock system on the Benchmade, but the Kershaw is thinner, easier to open, cheaper, and carries better.

The action on the Barrage gummed up after a year of EDC, and needed to go back to Benchmade. They fixed it, sharpened it and sent it back. No complaints there.

The Kershaw action has not had any trouble after years of EDC. I got a pretty good cut carelessly closing the split liner lock when I first got it, and learned my lesson, no issues since.

As a side note, I got the Black Tungsten DLC coating on my Kershaw. This might be useful if you are a ninja, but on the blade, it squeaks when cutting fruit.
