I'll accept any offer of help, it's the Canadian way. I bought the knife in Vermont and that was the US price. The exchange rate is close to par right now, give or take a few cents either way. Go to town! (However I do expect the store will come good for it- looking at Christmas probably.) And tell them (SOG) I said to go back to making the Airsog, by far their finest effort in the folding department.

Heres what I found out from the people at SOG's office.
West Marine is a distributer and/or wholesaler for them.
Sog is discontinuing the Sogzilla with the red or green handle and they are discounted at the factory store right now at $24. They are continuing to sell the Sogzilla with the black handle.
They wouldn't go into any detail about their relationship with West Marine which I fully understand.

IMHO it sounds like West Marine bought up a part of SOGs discontinued inventory and is passing the savings along to their customers. However if a knife doesn't meet your own expectations then it isn't a bargain.

On the Airsog I'm with you 100% and still have mine though it now sits in a drawer these days.

I would encourage you to use the link below to contact SOG and just let them know that you found these knives not to meet your expectations of their quality and are returning them to West Marine. I still believe that they do care about their products and customers.

Thanks SAC, you're a trooper for making the effort. I'll consider emailing SOG... but first I'll remove the 'F' key from my keyboard so as not to get overly descriptive of the POS I ended up with.
