I don't know much about these rifles but that sure seems like a lot of money. Am I missing something?

This is M1A serial number 001329. In June 2008, the rifle was located in Toronto, Quebec. In February 2009, it was up for sale on GB with the seller's location in Montana. Now, it's being sold by someone in California. In both ads, the price was way more than what I would pay for it.

This rifle has come up for sale several times. Different has the history down except that in 2009 it was still in Canada and the owner had a deal with some Montana dealer to hand carry it across the border and then deliver it to the Montana dealer who would ship it, or so he said. Since it never sold at that time, at least not on gunbroker either the owner brought it in himself or this ad may not be for real. It's got the same photographic library that it had at that time with it. One would have more money than brains and want a Devine really bad to pay his price.
