Are all Devines NM grade. If so are they all marked NM? Any input on NM Devine rifles would be appericiated.

After reading your post, I took a look at mine, Ser. # 0004XX. It has a Sak Barrel "SAK-7791362-9-69-8037229", marked "NM" on the top of the barrel between the flash hider and the gas system, SAK op-rod marked "7267064 SAK P", rear sight base has "NM/2A" engrave in it with .595 hooded aperture, windage knob marked "P/N. 7790358", "NM" & "OBTD4". All other parts are USGI standard parts with exception of the USGI E-2 Walnut stock & Trigger group that has been modified to NM spec. This rifle is as I received it & looks to have only been test fired.

No, not all Devines were NM. I have a couple in standard configuration.

Someone posted a copy of the original ad and it showed a variety of configurations that they could be ordered in back then.

Concerning Devine National Match rifles; I'm not really sure if one had to be glass bedded to be a National Match or not but I asked a very specific question of Mr. Ballance concerning NM rifles. "Of the rifles he made, how many glass bedded NM's did he make. His reply was about 400.

Does that mean he only glass bedded 400 NM rifles or did he make more than 400 NM rifles some of which were bedded and some not, I don't know.
