If you look carefully, you can see it's a two line full address stamping.

it was hand stamped ..one line barrel was r&r two times since ownership of me ...it was sold in 2006 ! with m-1 grand style stock -no storage in the stock with rifle and MacMillan heavy stock -both had #601 marked ..
