I have #000126

It was bought by my Dad as a receiver and built into a NM M1A in the late 70's early 80's. See post below, may have been a complete rifle, not a receiver.

I knew the receiver was pictured in a SA sales brochure. Different provided me with a scan of the brochure. Only problem is.....in the brochure it looks like it was a complete rifle. So, now I am not sure how my Dad originally purchased it. I thought he bought just the receiver. I will try and post copy of brochure here and a pic or receiver.

Kind of hard to see, but receiver in lower right corner is the one.

Wow, that brochure moves it even further up the cool ladder. The kind of documentation that skyrockets the value as well. If it were mine I'd be searching eBay and others for an original of the brochure. And maybe check in with SAI, their marketing folks might be interested in doing an ad or something retro, like Volvo did with Irvin Gordon.

I salute!

Good luck in finding early paper work.

In 20 years I have seen 2 of the 1976 brochures. And I own both of them.
Maybe Elmer might have the original "artwork" to create more.

Educate me on this!

I thought by the time Springfield Armory was in Geneseo, Illinois(1974?)...it was the Reese Family, not Elmer Ballance?

(Unless you were being funny?)
