Time in Devine

I was fortunate today to spend some time in Devine with Elmer Balance.

Elmer was kind enough to look over a Devine M1A that I had.

Here is Elmer with the M1A.

It is amazing that he knew the year of manufacture just from looking at the serial number.

Also his tip was store the M1A with the trigger guard open as that will leave tension off the system.

I found it interesting that Elmer said he only used the solid heat shield. He felt the vented heat shield broke to easily.

Elmer discussed currency and how paper money was not tender but coin was. Interestingly he took the paper money for the stock....

Beer did come up but I has meetings at noon and 10am is a tad early for me....

The white dog is still there.
