I started off with the Fifth Edition, Volumes 1 and 2. Looking to add to them soon.

OP, I would call Springfield Armory, Inc. Customer Service and ask them if they could look up your M1A serial number in their paper records. The serial number dates to late 1974 or the first half of 1975. The barrel is right but a few of the Texas marked barrels did get shipped to Illinois after the sale of the Texas company.
