| sighting in a m1a with aimpoint comp m4
I have read several of the posts reguarding zeroing an m1a with an aimpoint but I get several conflicting things. Is there a military standard? does the m16/m4 zero of 25m work on the 7.62? I have zeroed an m4 using the 25m zero and have hit the 300 meter target with no problem. will I be able to do the same using my M1A I was wondering also how the points of aim change at the various distances with the larger 7.62 caliber. like do I need to aim center mass at the 300 meter target? do i need to aim lower at the 150 ? I used a 25meter M4 zero target to zero my M1A and got it where all 10 shots were touching in the lower third of the circle. Then I moved out to 100 meters and was hitting having diffuculty hitting an 8 inch target. My rifle is a Springfield M1A standard. with an ultimak rail and a aimpoint comp m4. I was using bulk 150 grain ammo. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
