If it's what you wanted, then you paid the right price.

Something is only worth what one is willing to pay for it.

Congrats on your Devine purchase. To answer you question we would need to know what condition the rifle is in and if it came with original box.papers? Pictures of the package would help tremendously, otherwise, we would just be guessing.

That is serious pile of money but if you're happy I'm very happy for you. Your obvious pride in your stellar find is more than justified.

I know just how you feel...

Because I recently reported here about having found and purchased a still brand new old stock, IDE Mich Imports Polytech M-14 and I still have a big goofy grin on my face.

divine m1a

there is no box and no paper work with it but it is in great shape probably never been fired. I know collectors firearms sells there guns at inflated prices but they do have a great collection there

All Devine,TX M1A's were built by, and under the supervision of, Elmer Ballance (Father of the M1A) and are considered collectable. Serial number and condition influences the value. The lower the serial number and the better the condition, the higher the collector value. That being said, it's still like Metonymy said, "something is only worth what one is willing to pay for it". Devine M1A's, like most rare collectables, should only increase in value so, again like Metonymy said, "If it's what you wanted, then you paid the right price".

FWIW, two of my 3 digit Devine M1A's (ser# 1xx and 5xx) are pristine and unfired but without original boxes and paperwork. I wouldn't let either of them go for less than $3500.

Welcome to TEAM DEVINE and enjoy your unique numbered (777) Devine M1A!
