Talking Devine NM #000230

A friend has asked me to help him BLANK his Devine rifle. He bought it in '74 I believe. It's currently in an excellent condition E2 stock. He also has a std GI stock, muzzle device, bipod, scope mount, & 7-8 GI mags. I believe all these items were purchased at about the same time as the rifle. Niether of the stocks has been bedded.

My first post here, will try to post some pic's tomorrow after I've had time to wipe it down. Rifle has been fired VERY little...........but his long term storage tech was not that great.

There is a permanent thread addressing these types of threads being posted on the various forums of the M14 Firing Line Forum.

Read This and please refrain from using the Firing Line as a substitute for each individual's responsibility. Any threads asking for a value will be deleted.

Also if you should decide to answer one of those questions, please refrain from giving a value. Without seeing the item, you can be doing an injustice to either the buyer or seller by stating a value.

Only post in the Classified section with a price to sell.

Thank you.

It was not my intent to list the item for sale on this site. If I had I would have done as clearly stated in the rules section & listed it(w/price) in the Classified section. There is a local gunshow this weekend were another friend has leased a table. I was simply looking for a value. There is NOTHING stated in the rules about asking for a value. I was attempting to fullfill my "individual responsibility" by asking that question here on this forum, which seems to be the hub of knowledge for Devine rifles. If a Devine rifle was the same as a current production rifle..........I would not have had to ask in the first place.

The gentleman who owns the rifle in a Vietnam Vet('68-'69) who needs to sell the rifle to pay medical bills............I was trying to do my best by him.

Please delete this thread, & if I may make a suggestion, please post something in the RULES like what you posted on this thread- Read This and please refrain from using the Firing Line as a substitute for each individual's responsibility. Any threads asking for a value will be deleted.

Best Regards

Actually it's posted throughout this board as an"Sticky" in different section to help people reframe from asking the price of an item(s) dogtag308.
