Our benefactor

I went over to Elmer's this morning so he could check My Garand, He chewed Me out for not lubricating properly. He says hey.

Here is an old pic I think from Camp Perry. Elmer is 2nd from right on top row in the smoky bear hat. His trophies read "Camp Perry 1st place" on a bunch of them.

Well the front plug was a little loose and there was poor lubrication on the hammer and bolt surfaces, the piston and gas cylinder werent cleaned, etc etc. Theres a big learning curve from peacenik to rifleman. Elmer is always ready to teach.

I wanted to get more pics but he was feeling a little camera shy. I will post more as I get them.

Is it possible that the wrong rifleman was pointed out in the picture? I have seen hundreds of pictures of Mr. Keith have seen very few of him with out his trade mark twenty gal. hat, unless he was in his own home. Also shooter second from right back row is of smaller stature than Mr. Keith. Am I wrong? The Rifleman back row second from left looks more like The Grand Man just missing his cigar
