Is the stock correct with a selector switch cutout? I guess so, assuming that the Devines all used USGI stocks, but you know what happens when we ASS-U-ME.
There's no end to the over-priced listings on GunBroker.com. One guy keeps re-listing the same Colt revolver with a reserve auction, a really low starting price but a "Buy It Now" price that's just too high. Sometimes he gets no bids. Sometimes he gets a bid or 3, but we still don't know what his "Reserve Price" is. My bet is that it's very close to the Buy It Now number. Who knows? He still might get his number some day.
Remember P.T. Barnum's famous observation "There's a sucker born every minute!" | The magazine well is fine as is the fill in the cut outs. My Devine NM rifle is filled exactly the same way as is every other NM devine I've seen and this is at least 4 more NM's. Standard rifles weren't filled when Elmer made them though you see a lot that were filled later. The barrel number indicates this is another of the Canadian Arms barrels that originally the info was that Elmer hadn't ever used them. But there are a couple of other authentic ones including my own and those might be the best of the NM barrels in my opinion. The price is way out of reason but the scope does look like an original military ART and they aren't cheap either. The serial number on the mount is iffy. Anyone could have done that. I doubt it was an army rifle although it could have been one built by an AMTU armorer.
