WD-40 as starting fluid for 2 cycle engines.

Little trick an old woodcutter taught me. If you have a 2 cycle engine that's stubborn to start. Use WD-40 for the starting fluid instead of ether (starting fluid). Ether evaporates and has no lubricant value to the cylinder walls. WD-40 acts as a fuel and lubricant until the regular 2 cycle mix starts flowing. Works in cold temperatures too. I've seen it used down to about 20F.
