Go over to your local scuba diving shop and see what they have... They could have some replacements for their spear guns that will be a better quality than whey you are using.

When I was a kid we kept rubber bands for our rubber band powered planes in castor oil . It kept them from drying out.

The stub of a welding rod bent into a horse shoe is the best I have found as ammo. Only use one length of tubing w/ no pouch.
Unrelated but I was watching an episode of Rat Patrol & they had to take out a German sentry. One guy used his knife to reflect the sun to heat the German's helmet hot enough he had to remove it, then the other (With his TEETH!) removed a .45ACP projectile from the case & shot the German in the back of the head with his slingshot- At about 50 YARDS!
He shoulda been in the Olympics!
At least that's how I remember it- I was in grade school at the time!

And after all these years, you can remember that episode. Good on you...I'm lucky if I can remember what I had for supper last night!

I love that a bunch of guys on a forum about one of the deadliest battle rifles ever invented can still talk about something as simple as slingshots. I thought I was the only one who still liked them. Definitely going to try the silicone spray on mine cause they sure can hurt when they break at full draw.
