M 1950 Gasoline burner, any body know where to get spares?

OK
I figure this would be a good place to ask about this.
I was digging through some stuff in the garage today and found a old GI gas stove my brother got while he was in the Army.
Its a M 1950 gasoline burner, the cupped washer that was on it for the pump does not fit in the pump tight enough to allow it to pump up, I put the one that was stored in the pump handle on and it does work but would like to have a couple of spares, any body know where to find them? I looked online but all I could find was people asking where to find a whole stove. This one is marked on the side "Coleman 1966" I think I will give Coleman a call and see if they have any but I doubt it.

I have a Coleman naptha camp stove that I came to hate because the pump washer had to be soaked in oil about every 2 weeks and I often forgot to bring any (spit will suffice but is not as long lasting). The stove was like that almost from the get-go.

Anyway if Coleman doesn't have a washer to sell you, it might be worth asking around your area. Licensed or unlicenced repair of their stuff used to be a bit of a cottage industry, sort of like TV repair, and you may find a present or former repair shop that has older parts. And don't give up on the internet....

OK
I called Coleman and they actually have a leather cup washer for the pump, its for some other model but the nice lady I talked to said it will work. They were only $2.50 each so I ordered two.

Earthquake:
Many moons ago I got a request from a guy on another board to scan some pages from the maintenance manual for this stove. They are still on my server so if you are interested, here are links to them (these pages average about 3/4 meg each):

If anybody gets a catolog from Coleman's Surplus, he was still selling these as surplus as recently as last Christmas. Don't know if he still has any or not, but these are great for camping or hiking.

Almost any pump. Water, oil, gas whatever can be cut from leather of the right
thickness.

At first I thought you were refering to the 1950 Chevy sedan my father owned. The first car I was ever aware of. I can still smell the wool upolstery and the feel of lying on the shelf between the seat and rear window (looking up at the sky) as my father drove.

I received the leather pump washers [$2.50 each] from Colman, they are quite a bit bigger but I think I can make them work by soaking them in warm water and pushing them into a piece of tube I have that is just a bit bigger then the pump and letting them dry.

Thumbs up

Those little stoves are neat and usefull as hell!
I have 7 or 8 of them, dated from 1944 thru 1971. A couple are new in the box. I also have most if not all of the manuals and a bunch of spare parts I've accumulated over the years.
I also have one of the 2 burner platoon stoves, new in the metal carrying case - dated 1944. Have some of the manuals also.
I am also a Coleman lantern nut. I have them from the early 50s thru 71, a couple new in the box. Looking for a WW 2 dated one working or not. Also have a platoon storage box, holds 2 lanterns and spare parts. Again I have some/most of the manuals.
