Awards Showcase

Homer buckets (the orange ones) at Home Depot are dirt cheap and available at the drop of a hat. Gamma Seal lids fit them well.

I have used Gamma Seal lids for many years. As long as the lid gasket is in good shape they do not leak.

Try this place. They have every lid color made:

My local Walmart has plain white 5 gallon buckets of very high quality for about $4.00.

Seriously folks, has there been a more versatle product in the last 50 years than 5 gallon plastic buckets? Aside from the M-14 of course...

Just be careful of how much weight you stack on top of the Gama Seal lids. They do break with too much weight on top of them. If you have two full buckets of rice, one on top of the other will break the lid over time...I found out the hard way.

I'd done this just to get an easy pic of how to stack plastic buckets so as not to crush the lids which is the weakest part of a bucket.

HH,

I just ended up placing a thin sheet of plywood between the layers so I could fit more buckets into the same amount of floorspace. Thanks for the photo.

Yep, that works also. Just so buckets aren't stacked on the lid of another buckets.

Here's a sight with good prices on Gamma Seal lids, even with shipping they are still cheaper then most before shipping...
