it says it is made for m14 and the other mags.that feature is built into basic subframe of the rifle. since you liked the one with the ar-15 stock,i went to the thread on the 223 so you could reference that, and I also included the adapters I added on that thread for the 223 rifle, folding stock adapters,in case you were unaware of them, and you wanted to make a more compact rifle for storage or back packing.

Just read up a bit on Shooting Illustrated, and the Light Chassis version also accepts the M14 magazines as well as the AR-10 magazines.

Looks like you have to buy one now. Lol I'm curious to know how it shoots. One with a folding stock could be a very handy package to have it the truck.

Yeah I agree. I'm "pulling the trigger" on one right this second. Will update when I receive it.

It looks like a rifle you won't stop shooting once you start. I could see it in 300 blackout, folding stock, no bi-pod and smaller scope for short range deer hunting and packing. Bring lots a bullets!

The only things I may look at replacing would be the stock with a Magpul PRS, and the bipod, with a Harris bipod I have laying around. Maybe a set of extra low Seekins Precision scope rings...

I have the 7.62 MVP preditor model 20 inch fluted light weight (0.615 inch at the muzzle), non threaded barrel , wooden stock. It accepts the M14 and SR 25 mags. It is a pretty good shooter. I mainly shoot 160 grain lead bullets out of it at 100 and 200 yards. I removed the stock scope mounts and got a EGW one piece mount for it.

I have an MVP Predator in 7.62. I'd say it's a good shooter. The M1A mags actually lock up tighter than the Pmags. Here's a link to another owner's review, with pics of his targets at 100 and 300 yards.

As soon as the weather warms up and I can get out to a friends 500 yard range I'll let you know more. Hopefully.

Ok guys, heres the skinny on the M14 mags. They DO NOT work in the MDT LSS Light Chassis stock that comes with this rifle. I just tried it. It will accept AR10 magazines ONLY... which isn't a huge deal, as they are cheaper than M14 magazines. BTW, I chambered a round from the magazine and it slid smooth as butter.

Other thoughts, this rifle is very well made. It actually Screams high quality, and really makes you do a double check when you see the name Mossberg. They really stepped up their game with this rifle. Those are my thoughts as I Just took it out of the box. I might add that The Vortex Viper is really nice as well, and comes with a sunshade, and see through scope covers.
