I have a thunder ranch mvp in 5.56 . It has an 18 inch flutted bull barrel a threaded muzzle
super accurate with 53 grain v-max and 62 grain barnes tsx .

I also have the mvp-lr 308 which compliments my M!A loaded nicely .

Thanks from MackR and M14wannabe

Looking at the Bushnell TRS-25 seems like a decent unit with the low mount I think it will work fine along with the quick release mount.

Thank you

After running a few rounds through it Saturday not real impressed with feeding it works ok with factory mag but not great or not at all with aftermarket mags, looks like a Tromix mag well update is my future.

Thanks from MackR

Installed the Tromix Magwell update took maybe 20 minutes...Wow what a difference tightens up mags really well and simple to install. Would recommend to anyone who owns 5.56 MVP.

Thanks from MackR

After receiving the TROMIX mag well and trigger guard in the mail today, I spent about a hour fitting both parts and installing them on my new MVP Patrol Carbine. Can't say enough good about TROMIX; great customer service, quality product, and super fast shipping.

Not sure why I didn't order the trigger guard when I got the mag well. Got a TRS-25 mounted on it last night looks good small, low hope to zero it this weekend.

I've ordered a Bushnell AR 1-4X24 optic for my MSP Patrol Carbine and it should arrive next Monday. Also, removed the the fiber optic front sight and the Williams rear; they just get in the way and really won't be needed for my uses. That fiber optic sight mounted directly behind the A2 flash suppressor just look weird to me, so off it came. Carbine now looks more like a serious weapon instead of a carnival toy. I'll try to remember to post a photo of it once all the mods are completed.

Zeroed the Bushnell TRS-25 yesterday pretty impressed with the sight and the gun was able to ring the 6" plate at 140 yards benched and was off handing clay pigeons at the 50 and 100 yard distances without issue.

Had my new Mossberg out for the first time today. Was anxious to put it through it's paces and see how it shoots. I had stripped the barrel of the factory sights and affixed a Bushnell AR 1-4X24mm optic to the Picatinny rail using Weaver rings. Last week while waiting for the new scope to arrive, I had also replaced the factory, plastic mag well and trigger guard with aftermarket, metal products provided by Tromix. Carbine functioned perfectly without any hiccups whatsoever using standard Magpul 20 round AR magazines loaded with Danish/NATO 5.56 62g FMJ. I had only bore sighted the scope at home using a 4" X 4" surveyors target on a neighborhood fence. Once out on the range and with just a couple clicks of elevation and one of windage put me right on at 100 yards. I was soon blasting away at empty beer cans and ground squirrels with deadly precision. Carbine is compact, lightweight, handles superbly and is quite accurate with it's 16" bbl. Yessiree.........I think I'm going like this little carbine.

Thinking I need the .308 version also. I think it would be a great deer gun, 5.56 is just not a round I would try to take a white tail with. I'm gonna go check out the weight of the .308 version. I spend a lot time stalking and cutting down on weight would be great.

I picked up a Weaver 1x4 30mm Kaspa got it mounted used my analog bore sighter, had a chance to shoot it today. Started at 25 yards adjusted the scope a couple clicks right moved to 50 didn't adjust the scope pretty happy with the results so far started raining to I packed it in. The flyer at 50 was all me.

Ammo: American gunner, .223 Rem 55 gr HP Match. The 5 in the 2" square got it zeroed the 5 on the 1" square was at 50.

I did decide to buy one like the 5.56 so much how could I go wrong with the .308 so far very please with it also. I put a Bushnell 1x4 30mm .223 scope on it shoots great at least as well as I can shoot. Likes my M1a mags to both are fine rifles.
