My last drain is out, they took hopefully the last blood for my white counts, still don't know why my lymphatic system is swollen but I sure do appreciate everyone's prayers...

Hope the original poster is doing well.
Geardoc,

I am doing just fine. I am up to about four miles walking now. I hope this finds you doing better. You have my thoughts and prayers. I am planning on taking this rifle to a class next month if things work out. There are a few complications but they are not due to me.

God bless. Keep shooting, it is the only thing that keeps me sane.

With handloads, we ran my buddy's Ruger PR 6.5CM out to 1238yds.

If you would like to see how well this rifle shot in a long range shooting course I have that posted but the mods moved it here. I have no idea why they think a bolt action gun report belongs here but whatever. My hand load using ELD-Match bullets was very accurate and measured out with an SD of 6.1 at the course.

Status report on the RPR after the Precision Rifle course.

1. Accuracy is fantastic. For me easily my top rifle.
2. Scope mount was lose when I got home. Scope rings were fine.
3. Factory hand guard is terrible. The locking system used was difficult to attach and move stuff. My bipod came lose on day two. I might replace the hand guard with a Carbon Fiber version.
4. Factory stock sucks. No easy way to put it. Difficult to adjust in the best of times and impossible when under duress. I will be replacing the factory stock with a Magpul precision stock.
5. The 6.5 Creedmoor is a long distance star for sure and my hand loaded ammo worked out very well.

Check your scope mount, rings, etc. All mine are now torqued down with blue Loctite on the screws. I will re-zero the rifle next week.

New Magpul stock ordered today. In going through the rifle in detail I did notice that the factory rail had two lose screws. All of the now have blue Loctite and proper torque applied. I am going back through a complete remount of the scope and will need to re-zero the rifle as well. Still considering changing the front hand guard. That will come later. I also ordered a Magpul box magazine kit for my Remington 700. For long distance shooting you don't want to be top feeding ammo into the rifle. A forum member warned me about this after I got my Rem 700 and he was right. I grew up carrying a Rem 700 BDL in the field and I am good at loading it quickly but when you start shooting a lot and needing to reload even much quicker you cannot keep up with top feeding rounds. I will post pics of all when I get them installed.
