I've shot the Axis in .223 and several other calibers. While they are not as smooth as higher priced rifles they were very accurate with tailored handloads.
Sure I won't be selling my Remington anytime soon but the Axis makes for a nice backup, truck, lend out, or simple hunting rig etc.
