Here is a little better look at the lower scope. It shot very well but I was just working on the remount and getting it on paper this trip. Also, I was shooting some of the new StarLine 308 brass. Not sure yet if their brass is as accurate as Norma and Lapua. That test will come later. I also ran a series of the FinalFinish fire lapping system through it. Now, to clean it up and load some more for next trip. I must add that this NightForce scope is just tremendous. Expensive but tremendous. I might only buy NightForce from now on. For those of you that read my thread about my Leupold VX-6 failing I still have no word from Leupold so I will probably buy a NightForce SHV scope for my 300 Win Mag. I have been very impressed with the NightForce products.

Can't go wrong with NF. I've lost count of how many I own nowadays.

That was how I always felt about Leupold until this last mess. The Scope was less than a year old and not a cheap scope either.

I've seen more than 1 bad Leupold Mk6, and a bad Mk8. Not good.

Are the 5r bolt and AAC SD bolt interchangeable?

Yes, as long as headspace checks out.

I have had one chance to shoot this rifle with the new rings and trigger. The groups at 200 were nice but not something to write about yet. I am pleased and love the current configuration. Now, I need to figure out a great load. So far, I have been shooting 168s in this rifle and I will probably move up to 175 loads now. Dialing in the scope was a breeze after remounting. What a great scope. On my next trip I will shoot the box to test the scope and maybe even shoot the dot challenge just for fun. Hey Shmitty, I forgot to have you shoot this gun. We need to trade on a series and I need to shoot your FN and you need to shoot this Rem. More to come...

Thanks from MrShmitty

The trick now is my travel. It will get nuts for a while. I might be able to shoot next Friday. I will let you know. I received the SHV 5-20 but the rings I ordered are just a tad too short. Waiting on new rings now. Sako is a bit tricky with rings. This scope looks fabulous so I am selling the VX-6 for $500. Anyone interested let me know. I have not posted it in the PX yet.
