Hornady 208gr ELD match loading for 300 Win mag with IMR 4955 enduron
I just picked up some 208 gr Hornady ELD match bullets to load for my model 700 long range chambered in 300 win mag. I was wondering if anyone has loaded any of these and if so, what C.O.L. did you go with? Hornady claims you can use the same data as their 208 gr A-max but the COL they give of 3.340" seats the bullet in the case past the ogive. I ended up loading 20 rounds of load development with the new IMR 4955 enduron powder and used the COL on the IMR/Hodgdon website of 3.420" with a maximum charge of 72 grains rather than the listed max of 73 grains. Any info on either the 208 gr ELD match bullet or the new IMR 4955 enduron powder would be greatly appreciated.
