Bushy lower, SR 25 trigger, Magpul stock, Compass Lake 26" Fluted Douglas Upper, Leupold 16X Mk4.

"Why bother to own both?"

Because my Rem 700 VSSF shoots bugholes and my AR doesn't at 100 yards.

This is more fun, but still doesn't shoot bugholes like my bolt gun.

Thanks from islandermyk

Remington 700 "Varminter" in .223
26" barrel
Nikon Prostaff 4-12x40 w/ mil-dot reticle
Talley rings
Bell & Carlson light tactical bedded stock w/ custom paint
Timney trigger
Harris bipod
Polished bolt

This thing is all barrel and weighs and ton. I would never want to shoot it offhand! I like it though.

Awards Showcase

I'd consider my whole family to be pretty precise.

Another Mike Bryant hunting rifle in .260 Remington built on a blue-printed Model 700 action.

A 200 yard group with the Barnes 120 gr. Tipped TSX

With a better scope for dawn/dusk shots (that's when the whitetail always show up!)

Old school precision

Can you say Mauser 98 and precision in the same sentence?
Here's a M98 I built about 20 years ago as a play gun...

I think its a BRNO vz 24 action, it been so long since I built it I dont remember, with a 27" 1 1/4" dia Douglas barrel in 300 Win Mag. If I remember right the stock was made by Fajan when all they did was stocks, the scope is a Redfield five star 6x18. It has a Timney trigger set to about 1 1/2 pounds.
It weighs about 18lbs, I have shot 3/4" 5 shot groups with it at 100yds using 190 gn Matchkings, its fun to shoot because it has almost no felt recoil.
I am working on a argy 1909 in 30-06 with a stainless med weight barrel for the truck. [I did not cut up a good 1909, some body did it before I got it.]

Casey
