i just got this thing in. i already had the Leupold MK4 ready to go on it. i sighted it in today and the thing shot .4MOA off the bipod right out of the box. i was shooting 150gr Federal FMJ ammo. i love the accutrigger. a lot of people say negative things about this stock, and yes it's cheap plastic but i don't mind it. my next step is to put a vortex flash hider on there and put a can on it. that threaded barrel is giving me an itch.

sorry, i didnt have my camera on me for the range report, but this thing shot half inch out of the box. i can only imagine what it is capable of with a quality bedded stock and good ammo.

I've gotten the itch lately to start bringing out my bolt actions to play a little. Brought out my 700 on monday for the first time in a few years and did a 5-shot 3/4" group with some Hornady 55gr Vmax (.223). Might just have to take it on a few varmint hunts.

Bolt guns sure are fun every now and then......

nah, thanks for sharing Turtle. im actually just now getting into bolts. i want to build a long distance shooting range out at my ranch and blast clay pigeons. i think i have a good space for a 500yd range.

Very nice rifle, glad to hear it shot so well.

I've fired several Savages with the AccTtrigger and the AccuStock, all were sub MOA shooters out of the box. I don't own one yet but it's another one of those things on my list.

Good looking pop gun for a Savage ;)

Savages are known to shoot right out of the box, my sons 22.250 will just about 1 hole at 100 yards.

Try some GMM 168 for groups.

A bolt-on HS will stiffen it up and help. Or try a Manners.

May I suggest running a sloped rail with recoil lug instead of what you have. Gives more adj for stretching the legs and lug for support. If you go to 500, soon you will want longer legs and you will want to try you skills at 1000. I am not a sharpshooter by any definition of the word but right now 1100 is where I sit and out of horsepower with my 308 bolt and wanting more, its addicting.

Glad to see your new rig is a shooter. I'm close to buying a 10 FCP-SR myself. I'm liking the 10 round box mag.

yeah, the picture i posted is my rifle by my upstairs window that looks out to a deer feeder 200yds out. i just hung a six inch 1/2" thick steel plate from the bottom of the feeder. i was having fun ringing steel with my savage 200yds out.......and yes......a six inch plate 200yds away is child's play for this rifle but i was having fun hitting the plate and then trying to hit it again as the target would swing back and forth. i took some video of it. i'll post it when time permitts.
