Talking New gun

I just bought this http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/models/ Law Enforcement Series 10 FCP-SR it was 100 more than what I intended to buy which was the FCP-K, but I figured for the 10rd magazine and the rail mount already attached it was a good deal. Now to decide which rings to get and some glass to go on top of her while I wait till I can pick her up.

You need to put a better link in the post. The Savage link only goes to the "models" part with no rifle selection.

I found it, but BDH is right. Link leads to the models page. Very nice score! I have a classic in 30-06 and it is a freakin tac driver. Did you end up getting the .223 or .308?

Fixed the link for you

All you have to do get the right link in the future is right click the model on the left menu and select "copy shortcut". Something to be said for my 4 months of work at dispatch. I learned the computers inside and out... haha

As for the rifle, that is a sexi little critter. I was never a Savage fan till a buddy of mine bought a 111 FXP3 in 338 Win Mag (his first firearm he ever owned) and that was one of my favorite Rifles I've ever shot. Those Savages surprised me with their triggers and extremely affordable considering the level of rifle they're producing.

I'm struggling trying to figure out what model 308 I want from savage right now. I just can't seem to make up my mind. That looks nice. Have fun.

Ok I got my rifle yesterday, and today my scope, detachable mount, and an AICS 10 rd mag came in(it dose fit the rifle so I’m happy about that, since it seemed like no one knew for sure and it is a good deal cheaper). I have yet to mount anything, but hope to get to it this weekend since I have to get ready for my household good to show up tomorrow(they were only 3 weeks late so that in itself is impressive). When I get everything set up or need help with something I’ll update further.

Ok I could not wait to set her up but I still have to torque down the scope, and add lock lite to the threads. Also I overlooked one area, a cheek riser so it looks like I will be ordering one of them now, but don’t she look great.

That rifle looks mighty fine!

One question: Could you use lower rings or was there some fit problem I can't see?

I’m using a Trijicon quick detach mount so that I can use it on both my rifles.
