In the Begining - My First M1A

Well it all started innocently enough, I had a little extra cash and a friend called me from a gun show. He had spotted a good deal on a Springfield M1A and knowing I was in "need" of a new firearm he suggested this would be a good acquisition. So I zoomed over to the gun show and in 10 minutes I was walking out with a Loaded model M1A.
About three weeks ago I started wanting to do something with the new rifle. The first thing I ordered was a new stock. I am still waiting on a new JAE-100 G3 stock, expected delivery time: 7 more months!!!!!.
Next came the optics I quickly settled for a NF scope. I opted for a 3.5-15x50 with a R2 reticle. Placed an order for one today. Expected delivery date mid week next week.
Last week, I ordered a CASM scope mount and an Atlas bipod with a LaRue QD clamp. My wife just called the bipod is here, expecting delivery of scope mount any day now.
Still to decide and order: a set of scope rings. Looking at LaRue Tactical again for this component.
So begins my journey in the M1A arena. I look forward to putting things together and reporting on the journey.
