Firearms ownership

Posted May 8th, 2011 at 05:00 PM by 1911Ron

What is "firearms ownership?" is it going to a gun shop or a gun show or pawn shop and buying a gun? It is more than that, it is a responsibilty that goes beyond putting money down for it.

It means learning how to it use it safely, how to clean it and most importantly how to protect it.

Now does protecting it mean locking it up so kids can't get it? Yes and to protect it from politicians.

How can i protect it from politicians? One write a one minute letter to your state and federal representive, this is nothing more than a letter or e-mail that take about a minute to read, any longer and they wont read it.
In your msg tell them that you either agree or dis-agree with the matter at hand also tell them you are a registered voter (you are registered right?) and you vote (you vote right?) as always be polite, you will get better results that way.

Another way is to be active with a 2nd ammendment group, both local and national
levels.

Introduce new shooters to the sport, it's not only fun but rewarding to boot!

This only a primer to get you started, there are more ways and things to do to towards "Firearms ownership"

Remember keep your powder dry! Later Ron

Well said. Firearms ownership is a right, but every right has a responsibility.
