| Ditto.
Ditto, two reasons: the high leadership values portrayed and the interviews with the real guys. Politically WWII was so much more black and white, call me simple, but I like that. I could watch those episodes over and over again.

+1 on 82ds picks, both great flicks, with base of strong leadership.

I'm surprised nobody said "Stripes". That's my favorite Army comedy I guess you could say. My favorite Army movie would have to be "They died with their boots on". After all with an avatar like mine and being from Custer's hometown, what else could I choose?

| Favorite Army Movie
I'd have to say 'The Big Red One.' THAT is Army. I know a friend's son in the Junior Marines, good kid, heart in the good place, good to know they're still being born. He's VERY 'Marine.' With all respect, I did remind him that the Army has been the sword of the Republic since the time of George Washington, and has yet to fail our nation.
Other good Army films:
We Were Soldiers
Blackhawk Down
The Great Raid
Patton
Hamburger Hill
The Bridge at Remagen
Gettysburg
Speaking of which, a line from the actual fighting didn't make it into the movie... When the Iron Brigade hurled itself into Heth's advance, expending itself, the cry was heard from the Confederates, 'That ain't no milishey! That's them Black Hat fellahs again! That's the Army of the Potomac!'
It was.
Best.
