There's one with humphrey bogart set in wwii, he's a master sergeant and is commanding an ol' lee tank, that just survived a battle with the afrika corps, i can't remember the name of the movie, but it's really good, anyone remember that one? | sahara

A Bridge Too Far. My Uncle Mickey was part of that operation. Glider Airborne Infantry. 82nd Airborne. Was captured by the Germans near Grave and spent the rest of the War as a POW. He never forgave Montgomery for that.

Hey, guys...I know this thread is about "Army movies" and I have cited a few of my favorites in that regard in an earlier post...but, I have one to offer I haven't seen cited here earlier..."Battle: Los Angeles" that came out last year.
Sure, I know it's about the Marines (What a great outfit they truly are...glad they're on OUR side!!!) fighting an alien invasion in LA, but the movie DOES get a guy from the 40th ID in there briefly - I think he gets killed. But, it's a super "war" movie...beautifully acted and staged, with great camera work, SFX, and no expense spared for ammo. If you haven't seen it, I urge you to get the DVD in Blu-Ray or HD or whatever the technical term is...just get the best level of sharpness you can becuase the level of detail is worthy of it...very intense. I am hoping mightily for a sequel - it's THAT good!

| Neither has the Marine Corps who is a few months younger, wins first rate battles with second rate equipment and is America's 911 Force.
