Reloader 15 recipe

I am seeing and hearing good things from this powder and it is available. What I want to know does anyone have any good recipes with this powder in bolt guns and the M1A? I will be using 150 and 168's in the gas gun and 150, 168, and 175 grain pills in the bolt gun. My bolt gun is a Savage 10FLCP with a heavy fluted barrel and muzzle brake, .308 caliber. I usually run Winchester cases and Wolf primers for the bolt gun and Remington cases in the M1A, occasionally I use LC match. And I have a large stock of Lapua once fired brass I will use in the Savage eventually. Thanks guys!

Greetings,

My go-to load for my Savage is 42gr. RL-15 behind a Sierra 168 MK set .010" off the lands. The actual OAL is about 2.823"
This is the load I measure all others against. It is a soft shooter and very consistent.
I've also done very well with 43gr. RL-15/Sierra 175 MK/-.010" off lands.
I haven't shot any 150gr. bullets yet, but I got a box of Nosler 150gr. Ballistic Tips I'm aching to try. Another favorite though is a Berger 155.5 FB/46gr. RL-15/OAL (about) 2.955"

I'm holding off using any RL-15 in my gas gun. My H4895 should be here today. I'd rather use that as I think RL-15 is to slow for the M14/M1A.

How strange the Savage load you are using is the exact one I am using and I get sub-moa groups with it and I am even using the SMK 168's as well as Nosler 168 CC's and as far as the M1A I am using 41.3 of IMR 4895 or 42.2 of RE-15 with good results

I second the 42.0 gr of RE-15 behind a 168gr SMK. I got it from good authority that it most closely mimics the FGMM 168gr load.

This is my fav load in my Savage 10fp yet I found I get better results from H4895 in my Springfield M1A.

Yup, 42 gr for a 168gr Smk. Never fails! RL-15 is notorious for be temp sensitive though, but at 42.0 gr load you will have no issues. I like 41.0 for the 175smk in my M1a. I do however prefer IMR4895 in the M1A overall.
